Board Job Descriptions

All Board Members:

  • Must be available on game days for a minimum, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, a 2-3 hour shift
  • Heads up at least one committee
    • Snack Stand Operations
    • Team Mom/Snack Stand Volunteer Coordinator
    • Photo Night/Pep Rally
    • Yearbook
    • Parent’s Night Out
    • HFA Website 
    • Awards Night
    • Apparel 
    • Football Jerseys/Uniforms
    • Scholastics
  • Pitches in wherever needed on game day (clean up, set up, announcing, etc.)
  • Food and Beverage Director: Directs and oversees all aspects of HFA’s food and beverage (Snack Stand) planning and service, with duties to include but are not limited to menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food, adherence to quality and safety standards, work with Board Members and Team Mom Coordinator for home game staffing schedule, perform end of game day closing procedures including cash handling procedures in coordination with treasurer or other board member. As well, attends Township Rec Committee meetings on behalf of HFA.

 

Executive Board Positions:

President: In addition to Board responsibilities, oversees all aspects of the organization.  Sets agenda with Secretary for all Board Meetings.  Is the primary liaison between HFA and all other outside organizations including Holmdel Township, Board of Education and Jersey Shore.  Attends Jersey Shore Meetings as required and when requested and chairs special committees when needed.

Vice President: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for Huddle Account renewals, Insurance Renewals. Will step in, as needed, when President is not available.

Treasurer: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for keeping ledger, checks for payment, end of year taxes. Will also make deposits to bank account, responsible for upkeep of credit card.

Secretary: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for HFA Facebook page, SCC applications for use of schools, point person for Board of Ed. Communication for scholars, etc., email blasts, Jersey Shore AYF communications. As well, responsible for ordering and distributing any and all PPP that might be needed for season because of Covid-19.

Football Commissioner: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for Game Day operations, Game scheduling for coaches, relaying any changes to coaches (Board Secretary will help set up meetings, etc), Coach’s bags, equipment handout, First Aid kits for Coaches, paying Referees at games. As well, attends all Jersey Shore Coach’s meetings (pre, during and post-season).

Cheer Commissioner: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for game day Operations for cheer, responsible for cheer competitions, scheduling mat time, organizing Florida Nationals Trip (should cheer qualify), Cheer uniform distribution. As well, attends all Jersey Shore Coach’s meetings (pre, during and post-season).

 

League Representatives:

Jersey Shore Representative: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for attending ALL AYF Jersey Shore Meetings, voting on our behalf (after discussed with Board), relaying all information back to Board in timely matter.

Jersey Shore Scholastics Representative: In addition to Board responsibilities, responsible for attending ALL AYF Jersey Shore Scholastic meetings, collecting and calculating individual and team GPA’s, buying scholastic gift cards and printing out scholar athlete certificates.
